Use this guide to print Yuzu documents from Redo while your team processes outbound labels and shipments.
Before you start
Install Yuzu Print Extension in Chrome and sign in to Redo in the same browser profile.
Create or copy a Yuzu API key, then choose the App ID pattern your team uses. See Create a Yuzu API key and choose an App ID.
Set up printer routing before testing live orders. Use Find printer IDs and set a printer override for one printer, or Set up tag-based printer routing in Yuzu Print Extension when different document types should print to different printers.
If multiple packing benches use the same setup, copy the finished configuration with Share Yuzu Print Extension configuration between benches.
Review Yuzu success and error messages in Understand Yuzu Print Extension notifications before testing with operators.
Supported workflows
Redo workflow | Manual print | Auto-print |
Single Order Scan | Yes | Yes |
Batch Order Selection | Yes | No |
3PL mode: Not supported for Redo. Set up 3PL mode in Yuzu Print Extension does not apply to this integration.
Custom domains: Not supported for Redo. Use Redo at https://app.getredo.com. Use a custom domain with Yuzu Print Extension does not apply to this integration.
Choose the right App ID
Redo can print using either the source app ID or a Yuzu team-level App ID, depending on how your Yuzu orders are stored.
Use the source app ID when the order IDs shown in Redo match the order IDs from a connected source app in Yuzu.
Use the org or team App ID when the order IDs printed from Redo are unique within the Yuzu team.
If a test print says the order was not found, confirm that the Redo order ID or order number matches the App ID choice. See Create a Yuzu API key and choose an App ID.
Configure Yuzu Print Extension for Redo
Open Yuzu Print Extension settings.
Select Redo as the platform.
Enter the Yuzu API key.
Enter the App ID chosen for your Redo orders.
Choose the printer setup:
Use Specify Printer Override with Static Printer ID to send all Redo documents to one printer.
Use Specify Printer Override with Tag-Based Routing to send tags such as
Invoice,Gift message, andStickerto different printers.
Turn on auto-print only for the Single Order Scan workflow if your team wants scanned orders to print without an extra click.
Save the configuration.
Print from Single Order Scan
Use this workflow when operators scan or open one outbound label order at a time in Redo.
In Redo, open the Single Order Scan workflow your team uses.
Scan or open the order until the Redo print controls are ready.
To print manually, click the Yuzu print button beside the Redo print controls.
If auto-print is enabled for this workflow, leave the page open and let Yuzu print when the scanned order is ready.
Wait for the Yuzu notification before moving to the next order.
Print from Batch Order Selection
Use this workflow when operators select one or more orders from Redo's awaiting-shipment list.
In Redo, open the Batch Order Selection workflow your team uses.
Select the orders you want to print.
Click the Yuzu print button beside the order action controls.
Wait for the Yuzu notification before clearing the selection or moving to the next batch.
Auto-print is not available for Batch Order Selection. Operators must click the Yuzu print button after selecting orders.
Use printer overrides and tag routing
Redo can use the same Yuzu printer routing options as other supported platforms.
For one printer, enable Specify Printer Override, choose Static Printer ID, and enter the printer UUID. See Find printer IDs and set a printer override.
For different printers by document type, choose Tag-Based Routing and add one row per Document Tag and Printer UUID. Common examples are
Invoice,Gift message, andSticker. See Set up tag-based printer routing in Yuzu Print Extension. After routing is tested on one bench, share the setup with Share Yuzu Print Extension configuration between benches.
Test before using live orders
Pick a Redo order that is safe to reprint or use for testing.
Confirm the order exists in Yuzu under the App ID configured in the extension.
Run a manual print from Single Order Scan.
If your team uses auto-print, turn it on and repeat the Single Order Scan test.
Select one or more orders and run a manual print from Batch Order Selection.
Confirm each expected document prints on the correct printer.
Check the Yuzu notification after each test. Use Understand Yuzu Print Extension notifications if the notification reports a problem.
Troubleshooting
The Yuzu print button does not appear: Refresh Redo, confirm the extension is enabled, and make sure you are using a supported Redo workflow.
Auto-print does not run: Confirm you are using Single Order Scan and that auto-print is enabled in Yuzu Print Extension settings. Batch Order Selection requires manual printing.
Order not found: Confirm the App ID choice and check whether the Redo order ID or order number matches the order stored in Yuzu. See Create a Yuzu API key and choose an App ID.
Documents print on the wrong printer: Check Specify Printer Override and confirm the Static Printer ID or Tag-Based Routing rows use the correct printer UUIDs. See Find printer IDs and set a printer override and Set up tag-based printer routing in Yuzu Print Extension.
Only some documents print: Confirm the Yuzu order has the expected document tags, such as
Invoice,Gift message, orSticker, and that tag routing includes each tag your team expects to print.A printer is offline or unavailable: Check the printer in Yuzu, then use Understand Yuzu Print Extension notifications to interpret the message shown by the extension.
A custom Redo URL does not work: Redo custom domains are not supported. Use
https://app.getredo.com.3PL merchant routing is needed: Redo does not support 3PL mode in Yuzu Print Extension. Use a supported 3PL platform if merchant-specific mappings are required.
