Understand Yuzu Print Extension notifications

Use this guide to understand what the Yuzu Print Extension notifications mean and when you may want to hide specific warnings.

Use this guide to understand what the Yuzu Print Extension notifications mean and when you may want to hide specific warnings.

Before you start

  • Make sure the extension is installed and connected to Yuzu.

  • Test notifications with one known order before using auto-print in a live workflow.

  • Keep notifications visible while setting up a new integration or 3PL mapping.

Success notifications

A success notification means the extension sent the print request to Yuzu. Operators should still check the printer output when testing a new setup.

Success is most useful for confirming:

  • The API key works.

  • The App ID found the expected order.

  • The printer override did not block the request.

  • Auto-print ran at the expected point in the workflow.

Failure notifications

A failure notification means the extension could not complete the print request. The notification usually points to the next thing to check.

Common causes include:

  • Missing or invalid API key.

  • Missing App ID.

  • Order not found in Yuzu.

  • Printer offline or unavailable.

  • Incorrect Printer UUID.

  • Missing document tags for tag-based routing.

Use the notification text before changing settings. If the error is order-related, check the App ID before checking printer routing.

Ignored-order notifications

Some workflows intentionally ignore orders that should not print. For example, a workflow may skip a draft merchant mapping, a missing 3PL merchant, or an order that has already printed successfully.

If ignored-order warnings distract operators after testing is complete, turn off the warning option for ignored orders in the extension settings.

Do not hide ignored-order warnings while you are first setting up 3PL mode or auto-print. They help show when a mapping or workflow is incomplete.

3PL merchant notifications

In 3PL mode, notifications help prevent orders from printing under the wrong merchant setup.

  • A missing merchant warning means the extension found a merchant value that does not have a live mapping.

  • A draft merchant mapping usually means the extension should not print for that merchant yet.

  • A live mapping with missing API key or App ID needs to be completed before printing.

Use Set up 3PL mode in Yuzu Print Extension to add or update merchant mappings.

Auto-print notifications

Auto-print notifications tell operators when the extension printed automatically or skipped a print.

During setup, keep notifications visible so you can confirm auto-print happens at the right stage. After the workflow is stable, review the extension options and only hide warnings that are expected and safe to suppress.

Troubleshooting

  • Success notification appears but nothing prints: Check the printer status in Yuzu and the printer override settings.

  • Order not found: Check whether the App ID should be the source app ID or the org/team ID.

  • Warnings are too noisy: Hide only the warning type that is expected in that workflow, such as ignored-order warnings after testing.

  • No notification appears: Confirm the extension is installed, enabled, and allowed to run on the platform page.

  • 3PL merchant warnings appear: Add or activate the merchant mapping, then test one order for that merchant.
