Choose the right App ID

ShipStation can print using either the order IDs Yuzu receives from ShipStation or order numbers, depending on how your Yuzu account is set up.

Use Create a Yuzu API key and choose an App ID for the full setup steps. In short:

  1. Use the source app ID when the IDs printed from ShipStation match the source IDs for your ShipStation app in Yuzu.

  2. Use the Yuzu org/team ID when the printed IDs are unique inside your Yuzu team.

  3. Keep the same choice across manual and auto-print testing so the same ShipStation order prints the same Yuzu order each time.

If you are unsure which App ID to use, test one known order first before enabling auto-print for operators.

Configure the extension for ShipStation

  1. Open the Yuzu Print Extension settings.

  2. Select ShipStation as the platform.

  3. Confirm your API key and App ID are set.

  4. If all ShipStation documents should go to one printer, enable Specify Printer Override and choose Static Printer ID, then enter the printer value from Find printer IDs and set a printer override.

  5. If different document types should go to different printers, enable Specify Printer Override and choose Tag-Based Routing. Use Set up tag-based printer routing in Yuzu Print Extension for the tag and printer setup.

  6. Save the extension settings.

For full setup steps, use the shared guides linked from Before you start.

Print one ShipStation order manually

  1. In ShipStation, open the individual order you want to print.

  2. Wait for the Yuzu print button to appear in the order actions area.

  3. Select the Yuzu print action.

  4. Wait for the extension notification that confirms the print request was sent or explains why it could not print.

  5. Check the expected printer output.

Print several ShipStation orders manually

  1. In ShipStation, open the order list your team uses for fulfilment.

  2. Select the orders you want to print.

  3. Wait for the Yuzu print button to appear near the ShipStation order actions.

  4. Select the Yuzu print action.

  5. Wait for the extension notification and check the expected printer output.

Enable auto-print for ShipStation

Auto-print is useful when operators should not need to click the Yuzu print button during the supported ShipStation single-order workflow.

  1. Open the Yuzu Print Extension settings.

  2. Select ShipStation.

  3. In the workflow section, enable Auto-print on Single Order Details.

  4. If needed, add auto-print conditions so auto-print only runs on the ShipStation URLs your team uses.

  5. Test with one known order before enabling the workflow for the wider team.

Confirm it worked

Use a known ShipStation order that already exists in Yuzu.

  1. Print the order manually from the Single Order Details page.

  2. Confirm the document prints on the expected printer.

  3. If you use batch printing, select two known orders and confirm both print.

  4. If you use auto-print, open a tested Single Order Details page and confirm Yuzu prints without clicking the manual button.

  5. Check the extension notification if anything does not print.

Troubleshooting

  • The Yuzu print button does not appear: Refresh ShipStation, confirm the extension is installed and enabled, and confirm ShipStation is selected in the extension settings. If the button still does not appear, capture the ShipStation page and browser URL for support.

  • The wrong order prints or the order is not found: Re-check the App ID choice using Create a Yuzu API key and choose an App ID. Test with one known order before enabling auto-print.

  • Nothing prints after clicking the button: Confirm the API key is saved, the App ID is saved, and the order exists in Yuzu. Check the extension notification for the exact reason.

  • Documents go to the wrong printer: Re-check Specify Printer Override. Use Static Printer ID for one printer, or Tag-Based Routing when document tags such as Invoice, Gift message, and Sticker should route to different printers.

  • Auto-print runs when it should not: Turn off the workflow in the extension settings, or add auto-print conditions for the ShipStation URLs your team uses.

  • Auto-print does not run: Confirm auto-print is enabled for Single Order Details, refresh ShipStation, and test again with a known order.
