Yuzu Printer Monitor (Beta) helps you and Yuzu support check printer settings, Windows queue status, and ink or toner levels on supported printers. Install it on the Windows computer that runs your Yuzu Print Client.
The monitor is a separate app. Keep the Yuzu Print Client installed and signed in so it can continue handling print jobs.
Before you start
Use the Windows computer connected to your printer. The monitor is currently Windows-only.
Make sure the Yuzu Print Client is installed and signed in to the correct Yuzu account.
You may need your IT team to approve installation and the Windows administrator prompt.
Install and connect
On that Windows computer, sign in to Yuzu and select the account you print from.
Open Printers. Under Printer monitor (Beta), select Download. Use the monitor download, rather than the separate download under Printer setup.
Run the downloaded installer and follow the installation steps.
Open Yuzu Printer Monitor from the Windows Start menu, or open the connection window offered by the installer.
Enter the Username and Secret key shown on the same Yuzu Printers page. These are the print account details, not your usual Yuzu website password. Keep the secret key private.
Complete the connection and approve the Windows administrator prompt if requested. The app should show Connected to Yuzu.
Check that it is connected
Return to Yuzu’s Printers page and check the computer listed under Printer monitor. You can review its connection status and when it was last seen. Open the relevant printer to review the information available for it.
Ink and toner readings depend on what the printer supports and whether it can be reached. A missing reading does not, by itself, mean the monitor is not installed.
If you cannot download or connect
No monitor Download button: open Yuzu on the Windows print computer. The monitor download is not shown on macOS.
The app cannot find the print computer: check that the Yuzu Print Client is installed and signed in on this same PC, then reopen Yuzu Printer Monitor.
Sign-in fails: use the Username and Secret key from the correct account’s Printers page. The monitor and Yuzu Print Client must use the same print account.
Installation is blocked: ask your IT team or Yuzu support for help. Do not disable your computer’s security controls.
If Yuzu says printed but nothing comes out
A completed status does not by itself confirm that paper came out. The monitor gives support more information about the printer setup, but installing it does not automatically fix a printing fault.
Avoid repeatedly retrying the same orders while the queue may still contain them. Contact Yuzu support with an affected order number, the approximate time and time zone, the printer and computer names, and screenshots of the Windows print queue and Yuzu Print Client. Confirm whether Yuzu Printer Monitor shows Connected to Yuzu. Hide secret keys from screenshots.
