Testing Your Campaign
Testing Your Campaign

Validate your Yuzu campaigns by ingesting orders, previewing templates and flows, and ensuring accurate personalization before going live.

Updated over 3 months ago

Testing your campaign ensures that your templates, flows, and personalizations work seamlessly before going live. This guide will walk you through validating the workflow of an order being ingested, assigned to the correct flow and template, and previewing the dynamic personalization.

Step 1: Preparing an Order for Testing

  1. Shopify Order Sync:

    • Ensure your Shopify integration is connected and updated.

    • Set up the appropriate trigger to push order updates or new orders to Yuzu.

  2. Generate an Order:

    • Create a new order or update an existing order in Shopify (or your connected sales channel) to trigger a data pull into Yuzu.

  3. Manually Create an Order (Optional):

    • Alternatively, manually create an order in Yuzu by navigating to the Orders Table and selecting Create Order.

Step 2: Preview Your Template and Flow

  1. Locate the Order:

    • In the Orders Table, find the order pulled from your sales channel or manually created.

  2. Preview the Template and Flow:

    • Click on the order to view the rendered template and associated flow.

    • Ensure:

      • Customer details (e.g., name, address) are correct.

      • Product information (e.g., images, descriptions) is accurate.

      • Dynamic variables like referral URLs or QR codes display as expected.

    • Verify that the assigned flow logic is accurate for this order.

  3. Make Adjustments if Needed:

    • If something looks off, revisit your template or flow settings to fix the issue.

Step 3: Validate End-to-End Workflow

  1. Review the Full Process:

    • Ensure that the order moved smoothly from creation or update in your sales channel to being assigned the correct flow and template in Yuzu.

  2. Confirm Personalization Settings:

    • Validate that all dynamic variables display correctly in the template preview.

  3. Test Variations:

    • Create and test different order types (e.g., first-time customers, subscription orders) to confirm all scenarios are handled correctly.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Order Not Pulling Through:

    • Check the integration settings to ensure the sales channel is properly connected and triggers are active.

  • Template Errors:

    • Verify that all dynamic variables in the template are linked to active data sources.

  • Flow Assignment Issues:

    • Confirm that flow conditions are set up correctly to match the order data.
